Smoke Color From Particle Color SOLVED

Recommended Posts

Is it possible to take the color from the particle for the smoke color? I'm emitting smoke using the particles physical data. Basically, get the smoke to be the color of the emitting particles.

Thanks

but there is no way to render this native Cinema, you´ll have to use Cycles or other 3rd party renderer, correct ?

Xparticles gaseous material does not provide colour channel - or is there a way to convert this by expresso  or python ?

I´d use a principled volume node with some multiplication  for density and emission strength .

Think I just needed more lighting. But also would like to try what you did. Whats that shader look like if you don't mind.

@Leo Chen :

did you play the animation to frame 145 or just set it to this value ? It is not cached, so you have to run it to the desired position to get the simulation data ...

Yes, I have play the project to the frame 145.

The viewport is right but the render of frame 145 just look like frame 0.

I  changed only the setup for "single frame rendering".

Nothing else is changed.

PS: I have Cycles4D too.

Is that because I do not have the material you used in the project ?

Yours works perfect on my machine. Are you trying to do it with particles? Sorry, I'm confused.

if you are trying to use particles you need to have a value in the smoke for extended data/Physical data.

Yes, these projects works fine on my machine too now.

I still have no idea why it went wrong.

I had other projects loaded when it went wrong.
After closing the other projects, it works fine.

Thank you all.
