CD Tools FREE download available now

Recommended Posts

Although his plugins are a few years old, we at INSYDIUM have been fortunate enough to receive the code from Dan’s family & friends. You can now use the full set of CD Tools in Cinema 4D R14 - R20 (R20 requires the INSYDIUM Bridge which is a free download from our website).

You can download the tools free from our website.

Please note that INSYDIUM does NOT offer any support for these tools. They are made available as a service to the community.

I'm getting an "archive is damaged" error on the CD_Manuals.zip. I tried downloading again but no success.

I'm on a mac and neither the default utility or stuffit could open the CD_Manuals.zip. The CD Tools.zip unzipped with the mac default utility without issues.  Thanks for the heads up on the created with 7-zip. No 7-zip for the mac but they had Keka listed as an alternative. Keka was able to unzip the CD_Manuals.zip.

As Lubo says, Thank you very much Insydium for bringing back Dan´s plugins!

I was hoping the CD FBX Import-Export plugin was in there - but cannot see it - have I missed it? - or is it not available?

(I'm on C4D r19)

Many thanks!

Unfortunately we couldn't add that plugin. The reason was that it used an external FBX code library, and the one Dan used was very old and no longer available. We didn't have the time to update it to a modern FBX lib, which would have required a lot of work, so it was the only one (I think) that we couldn't build.

OK Thanks Steve, no worries  - appreciate the quick reply!

It might be worth considering the update and charging for it; The only option that I can find that handles vertex animation export/ import - is Mega-fiers at 134 euros.

Let me know if you ever do decide to have a crack at it!

Cheers!
