  1. Hey guys, could anyone give me a hand on how to achieve a "plasticy speckled shader" with cycles4d? But I want the spots to be more like metal/glossy flakes and in three different (but specific) colors. Somewhat for reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wyZWy7kY2x8 Any better solutions instead of stacking some mixed shaders, or any other hints? 🙂 This is where I'm at: 190727-shader-speckled-V01.c4d
  2. Hi all, I hope im posting in the correct place here. Ive only just started using C4D and X particles! What a piece of software?! Anyway, now the grovelling begins. Im trying to create a concept vision for a client of a new HMI. This is a futures concept for a show car just to give you some context. Now I've created a system of particles, which swirl and populate along a circular emitter. This creates a beautiful effect, one im really happy with. Additionally if i could figure out a way to specify where these swirls generate from id be winning.... But still.... What im now trying to do it use the particle emitter in the same way but populate along the top of a modelled surface. ( Images & projects attached ) I've really been struggling to do this so here i am, asking the MUCH better designer amongst me Any help or advice you may have would be H U G E L Y appreciated as im super stuck right now and starting to panic a little. Thanks in advance everyone! Much love x BE48_Basic_Data_Lines.c4d BE48_Canvas.c4d

    Explosia Help For Beginners

Hi guys, I am very new to XP and 3D in generally really, but have managed in the past to make good headway with Turbulence FD, but this is because I have managed to find a lot of tutorials that explain the mechanics of what parameter affects what, and I have to be honest I am struggling with Explosia FX because there seems to be a lack of tutorials out there on it, including from Insydium which is surprising considering the absolute wealth of info in the video manual on the other elements. Now, I am not sure if I am being a donutt on this, so if I am I apologise, but there are basic things I am struggling with, such as how to increase the speed of the fuel to make the sim more violent or like a flame thrower. If someone could point me in the right direction, or Bob wants to create another of his amazing tutorials on this (Explosia FX for Dummies-esque) then it would be greatly appreciated.
