Thank you for your reply Nathan, I'll do that

    xpFoam causing crash

A little update. I viewed the HUD for the foam emitter and as soon as it generated a single particle it crashed.
  3. I'm working my way through your xpFluidFX Splash tutorial. When I get to adding the xpFoam it stalls. I have the Air Rate at 0 (off), and when I set the Crest Rate above 14 it stalls out at frame 70 (I assume that's when the foam would begin to appear.) it works perfectly below that number, although it doesn't appear to generate any foam. I am running on a PC: Processor (x2) Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2687W v4 @ 3.00GHz, 3001 Mhz, 12 Core(s), 24 Logical Processor(s) 256 GB RAM Version 10.0.17134 Build 17134 Graphics cards: Quadro K2200 (x2) Beta Build 824 xp_Water_Splash_v01.c4d

    Cycles 4D Update - Build 500

Okay, thank you for the suggestion. I'll give it a try.
  5. I know that there are some deformers that can work with XP, so I'm hoping that there's an answer here. I'd like to get the effect of the jiggle deformer for shapes that are popping into existence randomly and then float away. If the deformer won't work with XP would a soft body be the best approach?' I'm thinking of something like these water drops that are coming out of a tube. The Jiggle defomer would be an easy solution, but I'd appreciate recommendations for how to do it if that method won't work. https://www.eyedesyn.com/tutorials/blowing-bubbles-using-cinema-4d-soft-body-dynamics/ Many Thanks!

    Xplosia Weirdness

I did cache the ExpolosiaFX. I'm not as familiar with it as I'd like to be so I'm not sure where to look to see this dialog box? If that's the case how do I take care of the problem? I've recached and rerendered this section 4-5 times with the same results. Do you have any thoughts about why some of the frames have vertical bars offset (lower left corner of the image)? Everything else in Cycles4D has been pretty stellar and I like that it works so seamlessly with XP. This is the first big sticking point I've had. Thanks! Jason

    Xplosia Weirdness

I'm having very odd issues with certain frames in this file. I've upped the quality settings to try to make it go away, and tried to find answers here or in the documentation first with no luck. You'll notice that suddenly the flame will disappear for a single frame then start up again. I'm also getting this weird tearing on certain frames. I'm not use several machines to render so I don't think I should be having any problems with different solutions by varying machines. I've read that subframe iterations don't matter, so I didn't go down that path. I'm using the latest version of XP for PC, Cinema 4D R21, WIN 10 and Cycles 4D (not version 500 because it didn't like my video cards) I suppose that I could piece this thing together and make it work, but I'd really like to figure out why it's acting so jittery. Please give me a hint or two and I'll be very grateful. Cheers, Jason

    Cycles 4D Update - Build 500

This build isn't recognizing my CUDA video cards. They're not even listed as a devices any longer. Is there something I'm missing?
